1. About These Terms
These terms and conditions govern your use of the services provided by Jodie Michelle, trading as The Cabin ("we", "us", "our"), a sole trader based in Daventry, Northamptonshire, NN11, United Kingdom. By booking an appointment you agree to be bound by these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and other applicable UK legislation.
2. Our Services
We provide men's hairdressing services including haircuts, beard trims, combined cut & beard treatments, and children's haircuts, carried out at The Cabin studio in Daventry. All services are provided by Jodie Michelle personally.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, we are legally required to carry out services with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time, and at a reasonable price where no price has been fixed in advance.
3. Bookings & Appointments
Appointments are made directly with Jodie Michelle via WhatsApp (07449 051 917) or telephone. A booking is confirmed only when you receive written or verbal confirmation from us.
We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion. We will endeavour to notify you of any changes to your appointment as soon as reasonably possible.
4. Cancellation Policy
We kindly ask for a minimum of 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer the slot to other clients.
Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in a cancellation fee being charged or future bookings being declined. We will communicate this to you in advance.
If we need to cancel your appointment, we will give you as much notice as possible and offer an alternative date at the earliest opportunity.
5. Pricing & Payment
Prices for services are available on request by messaging Jodie on WhatsApp. All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable (please note that as a sole trader below the VAT threshold, prices are currently VAT-exempt).
Payment is due at the time of service. We currently accept cash and bank transfer. We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time; any change will not affect confirmed bookings.
6. Health, Safety & Suitability
Please inform us of any known allergies, scalp conditions, or sensitivities before your appointment. We reserve the right to decline services where we reasonably believe proceeding may be harmful to you or others.
If you are feeling unwell, particularly with any contagious illness, we respectfully ask that you reschedule your appointment.
7. Service Results
We will use our professional skill and expertise to achieve your desired result. However, the outcome of any hair service depends on various factors including the current condition of your hair, previous treatments, and your individual hair type. We cannot guarantee identical results to reference images.
If you are unhappy with the result, please let us know at the time of your appointment or within 7 days so we can discuss a resolution.
8. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability to you in connection with any service shall not exceed the price paid for that service. We exclude all liability for indirect or consequential loss to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any matter that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
9. Children
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the appointment. By booking a service for a child, the accompanying adult agrees to these terms on the child's behalf.
10. Complaints
If you have a complaint, please contact us as soon as possible via WhatsApp or telephone (07449 051 917). We aim to acknowledge all complaints within 2 business days and resolve them fairly and promptly.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be published on this website. Continued use of our services after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
